Once a namespace has at least one language attached, you can add terms.
Add a term
- Open the namespace and click Terms.
- Click New term.
- Fill in:
- Mark – the translation key (e.g.
welcome.title). This is what your code references; keep it stable. - Context – optional but recommended. A short note for translators and the AI: "Hero heading on the homepage".
- Default value – the string in the namespace's default language.
- Translate automatically – toggle on to have the AI fill in every attached language on save.
- Mark – the translation key (e.g.
- Click Save.
Edit a translation
- Find the term in the list.
- Click the cell for the language you want to edit.
- Type the new value and save.
The previous value is replaced; LangSync doesn't store per-translation history.
Ask the AI for a recommendation
If you don't want to commit to auto-translating everything but want a starting point for one cell:
- Click the empty cell.
- Click AI recommend.
- Optionally pick a custom prompt and a source language override.
- The AI fills the cell. Edit if you want, then save.
Filter the terms list
The search box accepts plain text against the term mark. Two filters help you find work:
- Has any untranslated – show only terms with at least one missing translation across all attached languages.
- Untranslated in language – show terms missing the value for a specific language.
Combine with search to triage long lists.
Delete a term
Use the row's ⋯ menu → Delete. The term and all its translations are removed. There's no undo.
